I recently had the opportunity to try out Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil!  I only knew a little about coconut oil prior to receiving the bottle, however, I learned lots more in the last couple of weeks!

I love coconut and was very excited to try it out.  It is recommended that coconut oil be incorporated into a daily diet.  My husband and I have now been using  coconut oil every day.  We have had more fun trying new recipes with it.  We have added it to smoothies, coffee, baking and fried. 

At room temperature, coconut oil is a liquid and refrigerated a solid. My husband tried to use it as a spread directly from the refridge, but, it was too firm. After letting it sit for only a little bit, the coconut oil was easily spreadable.

I think my favorite way we have tried it so far is when we fried avocados in coconut oil.  They were fantastic!   When I have tried it with my coffee, I didn't have the 'greasy' taste that I was expecting, but rather a smooth, coconut tasting addition my morning eye opener.  There are so many different ways to use the oil, the possibilities are virtually endless.  For great free recipes, go to Free Coconut Recipes and find your favorite!
