A Happy Green Life Laundry Detergent Review!

Wednesday, August 1, 2012
I recently had a chance to try out A Happy Green Life's Laundry soap, and I was thrilled with it!

A little from their website:

A Happy Green Life natural laundry wash is formulated to be the greenest, most effective natural detergent. Designed to be gentle enough for cloth diapers but strong enough to remove ground-in dirt and stains from your clothes

A Happy Green Life was started by Amanda Wucher-Aller and Kristin Ward in 2012. Our goal is to provide you with products that make living a green life easy in the modern...
world. We also want to educate people about how easy it is to help the environment and minimize their household budget.

Why All Natural Laundry Wash?

We started by making an all natural laundry wash for many reasons. We both cloth diaper our babies and needed to find a detergent that was safe and gentle but worked effectively to get the stink out. We also did not want to have to buy a separate soap for our diapers and our regular laundry. Our husbands both have specific laundry needs due to their occupations – Daddy Ward is a chef, and comes home smelling like a professional kitchen (yuck) and Daddy Aller is in the military and needed to follow the strict regulations for washing his ACUs. So we created our all natural laundry wash after a lot of research and vigorous testing.

In addition to our products we have a blog where you can find tips for living a happy green life.

I was able to sample the Candied Apple and the Georgia Sunrise. Both scents were amazing!  I was a little skeptical that the Candied Apple would smell too overwhelming, however, it was light, fresh and cleaned the clothes with great results. I just transferred the last of the clothes into the dryer and continued to enjoy scent during the transfer.

I generally use an unscented fabric softener, so, I know the scent lingers even after drying, I really like great smelling clothes!
I was equally as impressed with the cleaning of the Happy Green Life detergent. I have boys and their clothes are not only smelly, but, filthy. This detergent stood up to the test of stains and stink and passed!
