Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Overnight Peel Review

Friday, March 15, 2013 0
I recently had the opportunity, by being a BzzAgent to try Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Overnight Peel.  This is a leave on peel that you literally leave on overnight and simply wash your face as normal in the mornings.

Per Garnier website:  The way you use it:  Each night, apply a thin layer of Skin Renew Clinical Dark Spot Overnight Peel to face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Leave it on overnight.

Skin Renew Clinical Dark Spot Overnight Peel is powered by Glycolic Vitamin C Complex. The glycolic acid effectively exfoliates and smooths skin, while Vitamin C addresses dark spots. Glycerin and a special acid buffer ensure that the Dark Spot Overnight Peel is gentle on skin to reveal a new radiance

I have been using this for about 2 weeks now.  It has been somewhat difficult to incorporate into my nightly regimen, because I have so much to keep up with, however, I have been diligent and it seems as though my sun spots and some acne marks are not as dark as they were before. Also, the overall feel of my skin is soft and smooth.  I am going to continue to use the Skin Renew and see how much better my skin can look and feel.

The Garnier Skin Renew Clinical Dark Spot Overnight Peel is:

Noncomedogenic and won't clog pores
Safe for all skin types and ethnicities
Available at mass retailers for around $16.99

The lightweight formula contains the Glycolic Vitamin C Complex:

Brightens dull skin through exfoliation
Improves spots and discoloration
Calms and hydrates
A built in buffer helps skin maintain a healthy pH level

The gentle, leave-on peel leaves you with immediate results:

Overnight:  See smoother, hydrated skin
In 1 week:  See brighter skin
In 4 weeks:  See that spots, imperfections and acne marks are significantly reduced.

Cafe Escapes Review!

Thursday, February 28, 2013 0

I am a huge coffee drinker and  I am always willing to try a new flavor or brand. I like tasting a wide variety and keeping a wide selection on hand. This was an excellent opportunity for me because I received 2 sample packs that included many different varieties. They included: cafe vanilla, cafe caramel, mocha chocolate, chai latte, dark chocolate hot cocoa, and milk chocolate hot cocoa.

My absolute favorite is the chai latte.  It was so good.  I also liked the cafe vanilla and cafe caramel.  I usually add sugar substitute and or creamer, but, I didn't have to add anything to these.  The taste was sweet and creamy!  I see many more cups in my future.

Thanks to BzzAgent and Cafe’ Escapes for sending me these samples and letting me try their new flavors!

Bzz Agent Campaign! Post Alpha-Bits Cereal Review!

Wednesday, January 23, 2013 0
As a BzzAgent, this time I was able to review a box of Alpha Bits.  This was an occasional treat and a childhood favorite growing up.  I have since passed on my love of Alpha Bits to my kids.  This particular box is sponsored by the cartoon Super Why, and Whyatt is on the front of the cereal box!

Although this cereal is supposed to be for kids, who try and spell words out of the different alpha bit letters in their bowl, adults alike enjoy it too.  :)  I really liked watching my kids calling out the different letters before they ate the cereal.  It's not too crunchy and not too sweet, good for little ones both with and without milk.

Manufactured by Post this cereal contains a large amount of my daily needed Iron, Thiamine and Vitamin B-12 even before milk is added.

Covergirl Blast FlipStick Review!

Friday, December 7, 2012 0

I received yet another great product to review, since I'm a bzzagent. This time it was a makeup review from Covergirl!

'The COVERGIRL blastflipstick isn't like anything you've ever seen. It's a double-ended lipstick, which, let's be honest, is awesome by itself, but there's even more to it than that. The blastflipstick has two shades — one soft, for day wear, and the other dazzling, for night. Wear separately or combine to create a shade that's all your own. It's your personal color palette, giving you endless pucker-up possibilities.'

In this campaign's bzzkit that was mailed to me, I received an official bzz guide that was full of information on the product line. Such as:
  • Blastflipsticks are dual ended lipsticks--one side is creamy and the the is shimmery
  • They are all blendable. You can use the dark shade under the light or vice verse, and you can also wear the shades alone (that's a total of 4 different shades in one stick!)
  • There are 13 shades that you can choose from
  • They have a moisturizing formula that is neither supposed to feel heavy or dry
  • They can be found in most large retailers, grocery stores and drug stores
  • They cost about $8.49 at most stores but I've seen them priced lower.

I really like the fact that you can blend the colors together with the Blast Flipstick, which is really two lipsticks in one.  Out of the three I received, one stick was way to bright for me (the stunner).  However, the Minix and the Vixen were very pretty blends.  The Minix is my absolute favorite!  The blend is just right and looks great, even though looking at it, I thought it would be much to dark.

I received a free sample to facilitate my review by being a Bzzagent, however, all opinions are my own.

Afrin’s stick Up for Yourself Bzzagent Campaign Review

Afrin comes in 3 different varieties, the original nasal spray, original pump spray and original no drip pump spray. In addition they also have 3 other variations to combat severe congestion, extra moisturizing, and sinus.

I received a free full size sample of Afrin No Drip original for being a Bzzagent and I also received:

Welcome Letter
8 coupons for $3.00 off to share

I have to say, that for an over the counter medication/spray, Afrin does the job at relieving congestion.  I did notice some of the medicine taste in my throat, but, it did not linger long.  I seem to always have congestion, and this sure did help it!

The bottle states that you should not "exceed 2 doses in any 24-hour period" and "do not use for more than 3 days." If you use it too often you might make the congestion worse or cause it to last longer. Also it does say that it might cause "temporary discomfort such as burning, stinging, sneezing or an increase in nasal discharge may occur."

Perdue Oven Ready Chicken Roaster Review

Wednesday, November 14, 2012 1

Introducing Perdue Oven Ready Chicken.  This is a new product line by Perdue with three simple instructions;  The 6 lbs chicken  whole seasoned roaster that my family tried said,  “Open. Cook. Serve.”

Perdue offers:

  • Whole Seasoned Roaster
  • Seasoned Bone-In Breasts
  • Seasoned Cornish Hens

  • I was a little taken aback when I saw the price for the Perdue Oven Ready Chicken Roaster at $10.49, but, I really wanted to give it a try since  Perdue has always been a favorite of ours and BzzAgent was providing me with an opportunity to try it.  I suppose, in my mind, I was comparing it to one of the store bought cooked chickens that are around $6.00 each.

The Perdue Oven Ready products were somewhat hard to find in our area.  Before I left the house, I looked up on Perdue's website for a local location, however, it took going to two stores to find one.  The first store didn't have any, and the second store only had one whole roaster.  After trying, I imagine it is because it is such a popular item, and it is simply sold out!  (yummmy)

The whole seasoned roaster  was indeed very easy to cook, and when it was done, it was absolutely mouth watering.  We placed it in a pan, set the timer, checked the temperature and..... done!  The taste and seasoning was scrumptious!  The meat fell off the bone and cut easily.  It actually was so tender that while cutting, it just fell off the bone.

After our family enjoyed dinner, and lunch the next day, I am certain that the price was worth it.  There simply seemed to be so much more chicken than we would get with one of the store bought cooked chickens.  I will not only recommend, but, also continue to enjoy Perdue Oven Ready products for our family!

    Thanks again Perdue and BzzAgent!

    Unreal Candy Review!

    Monday, September 24, 2012 0
I just tried all of the UNREAL candies and I just wanted to share my thoughts on them. As a BzzAgent, I got a coupon for 1 free candy bar/bag, and then several coupons for a buy one get one free deal. I have tried each of the candies which come in the following flavors, and I really really tried hard to share with my husband.

chocolate candy shell peanuts (similar to peanut m&m's) -
chocolate candy shell (similar to regular m&m's) -
chocolate caramel nougat (similar to milky way) -
chocolate caramel peanuts nougat (similar to snickers) -
chocolate peanut butter (similar to reese's peanut butter cup)

    Per Unreal:

The best part about UNREAL is that it tastes amazing, is unjunked, and still available at the same stores and similar price as your old favorite candies. We have all natural colors: red from beet juice, blue from purple cabbage, and orange from achiote seed. Natural beeswax and carnauba wax give our gems their UNREAL shine. Our chocolate contains twice the cacao of market leaders, on average per serving.

I really liked all their different varieties.  The candy is very similar in taste to the name brands, and so much better for you.

Check out their website HERE, and you can also find a store near you to get your own!  Yummy

Glade Expressions Fragrance Mist and Oil Diffuser Starter Kits Review!

    Thursday, September 13, 2012 0
Glade has recently introduced the new Expressions line.  They now have added a Fragrance Mist kit and an oil diffuser kit to their great collection.  I was lucky enough to be able to try both kits out.

A simple squeeze is all it takes to fill the air with amazing, long-lasting fragrances and invite life in with the Fragrance Mist.  The scents are amazing, and it is so easy to use.  I tried out the pineapple and mangosteen.

The Oil Diffuser kit contains a decorative bamboo holder, that surrounds the diffuser card and gently disperses the fragrance. It not only smells great, but, looks great too.

I have the bamboo holder with the diffuser card in the family room, and the mist in the bathroom.  I will be back to the store soon, with my $2.00 off coupon for the fragrance mist in hand, so that I can add them to the other bathrooms.  You too can get this great savings!

Simply print the $2.00/1 coupon HERE for the Fragrance Mist Kit or $4.00/1 HERE for the Oil Diffuser Kit.  (Don't forget to print each twice for more savings!)

The Oil Diffuser lasts 30 days!  After that, you can simply refill the bamboo holder.  You can keep the same scent, or change to another.  Best of all, there is no plug or batteries needed at all.  They have 4 wonderful scents, they are:

    Lavender & Juniper Berry
    Cotton & Italian Mandarin
    Fuji Apple & Cardamom Spice
    Pineapple & Mangosteen

The scents mentioned are available for both the Fragrance Mist and the Oil diffuser kits.

I received a coupon for a free product by being a BzzAgent.  All opinions expressed are my own.

Hill's Science Diet Ideal Balance Pet Food Review!

    Thursday, March 29, 2012 0

Recently I was given the opportunity to let my little dog try/review the Hills Science Diet Ideal Balance Grain Free dog food.

I was a little skeptical, since she is very picky when it comes to dog food.  (she will eat ANY people food though)  Of course my Leila does not have a particular feeding time, so, when I received the sample, I opened the bag, let her sniff and poured some into her dish.

I was very surprised that she ate every last morsel with gusto that I put in her dish and appeared to ask for more.  She has another bowl of other food in the kitchen that is still untouched since receiving the Hills.

I also did not notice any chages to her bowels, which was a good thing, so, no upset tummy.  I think that we have found our new favorite dog food!

Hill's Science Diet Ideal Balance Grain Free dog food is:

    formulated for easier digestion.
features fresh chicken as the first ingredient
free of corn, artificial colors and preservatives
noticeably improves your dog's skin and coat.

Hill's Science Diet is found at pet specialty stores, such as Petco, PetSmart and neighborhood pet shops as well as select vet offices.

Hill's Science diet's website has a great tool to compare your current pet food (dog or cat) with Ideal Balance and see how it holds up.  Check it out at hillspet.com/idealbalance.  While you are there, you can download the free bag rebate.

I was given a free bag of Hill's Science diet Ideal Balance dog food to faciliate my review, however all opinions are mine, and in this case, my little dog Leila too.  (Thanks, I love being a BzzAgent)
