Recently, I had a chance to read an review a very cut book by Suzy Liebermann called The Secret to Happiness. It features Hugo, the Happy Starfish.
Hugo is a little starfish. He finds his life dull. Tired of feeling sad, one day he sets off to find happiness. After much searching, he discovers something that makes his heart do a somersault! Sharing with others is the only thing that makes him truly happy; all other things just made him feel better for a little while.
Adults strive to teach children to share within their communities. Encouraging children to give teaches them empathy, as well as a sense of social responsibility. Children can feel empowered by giving and sharing with others.
Hugo has an excellent message to share and is a very fun to read book with great illustrations. The age group that the Hugo series is geared towards is from 3 to 8. I absolutely recommend this book and look forward to reading the others in the series.
Check out the website, http://www.mystarfish.org/hugos-books, to see other Hugo books, like:

The Magic of the Moment
and so many more!

Hugo The Starfish sounds like a great book that I would love reading to my grandchildren. I enjoy reading books to them that have a good teaching lesson to share with them.
