Skillet Bacon Jam Review!

Recently, I was given the opportunity to try Skillet Bacon Jam, Bacon Spread.

What is THAT you ask?  Well, skillet bacon jam is niman ranch bacon that is rendered down along with onions, balsamic and other spices.  It is cooked for several hours until it is a perfect blend of smoky, tangy, savory and slightly sweet, spreadable bacony goodness.

When I received the jar, I was excited to try it, because I love bacon, as does everyone in the house.  However, my husband and I kept this one to ourselves.  We tried it plain, on toast, on a burger, on an egg sandwich, on a bagel, and mixed in with eggs, onions and mushrooms.  My husband absolutely loved it.  There wasn't a bad way to use the bacon jam.  Me, I thought it was very bacony, which I loved, however, I would have preferred it to be not quite as sweet.  I did however love how it enhanced the flavor of the burgers.  We absolutely would purchase this.

You too can try the bacon goodness in a jar by ordering it at  www.skilletbaconjam.com or www.skilletstreetfood.com  or you can contact eat@skilletstreetfood.com.
